As with all Red Wine Audio products, the Signature 70.2 monoblock amplifiers are powered by clean, high-current sealed lead-acid (SLA) batteries that allow all the nuances of the music to emerge with remarkable coherence and integrity. By running on internal SLA battery power and isolating itself from the AC power grid, each Signature 70.2 monoblock amplifier is free from the entire AC to DC conversion process and the associated electrical noise problems that hinder the performance of conventional AC-powered amplifiers.

Divide and Conquer...

Each Signature 70.2 Monoblock Amplifier contains a modified version of the Signature 30.2 circuit -- configuring the output stage to operate in “paralleled output mode,” which offers 2x the maximum output current drive capability. Monoblock operation also boasts complete separation of the left and right channels. Each channel is now powered by its own dedicated, high-current SLA battery supply.

Compared to the Signature 30.2 stereo amplifier, the Signature 70.2 monoblock amplifiers feature improved bass response, sound staging, stereo imaging, and spaciousness. This distinctiveness is attributed to the monoblock operation… the separate power supplies, complete isolation between the channels, and the change in the output stage circuit configuration (paralleled output mode).

SMART module equipped

The Signature 70.2 monoblock amplifiers feature a Red Wine Audio innovation… the SMART module (SLA battery Monitoring and Auto Recharge circuiT). This is a custom-designed circuit board that continuously monitors the voltage of the internal SLA batteries. If the voltage drops too low, the SMART module automatically turns off the Signature 70.2 and begins the battery recharge process for you.

With the SMART module, any user concern of accidentally damaging the internal SLA batteries by forgetting to turn off the Signature 70.2 is eliminated!

The Signature 70.2 monoblock amplifiers are a highly refined and improved version of our award winning Signature 70 monoblock amplifier.

The amplifier board in each Signature 70.2 has been heavily modified in order to achieve the sonic enhancements listed above. Below are examples of such refinements:

1) A new output filter stage design that features all new, higher-quality components as well as all new filtering characteristics.
2) The new output filter components are now hard-wired together (point-to-point) and have the speaker output wiring directly connected to them to offer an even shorter, cleaner signal path.
3) A higher grade of PIO (paper-in-oil) input capacitor
4) Modified input stage design, which also features higher quality parts such as resistors, dc offset pot, etc.

Also featuring:

• Custom “touch-sensing” power on/off switch with built-in LED that emits a soft, red glow. This switch is mounted flush with the black-anodized aluminum front panel for a clean appearance and is also made of smooth, black-anodized aluminum.

• Black, powder-coated aluminum enclosure with a smooth, 0.5” thick black-anodized faceplate that is laser-etched.

• Premium input and output jacks by Vampire

Return Policy

We offer a no-risk 30-day money back return policy, which only applies if the amplifiers and chargers are returned to us (at owner’s cost) in the same condition as they were shipped. It is the owner's responsibility to insure the package against damage in shipment. Refunds for purchases made with Paypal will not include Paypal service fees incurred during the transaction.

Warranty

5-years for any manufacturing related defects (parts and labor included). The SLA batteries are not covered under the warranty. Opening the enclosure for any reason other than replacing the batteries (as outlined in the included owner's manual) will VOID your warranty.
